Enerquip will be attending CheeseExpo again this year (formerly International Cheese Technology Expo). CheeseExpo is set for April 14–16, 2020 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It is North America’s largest cheese, butter, and whey processing expo, co-hosted by Center for Dairy Research and Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association.

CheeseExpo Opportunities for Dairy Professionals
CheeseExpo offers a wide variety of seminars focusing on the hottest topics in the industry, with this year’s slate focusing on global marketing, cheese quality, milk pricing, and more. A Long-Range Vision for Dairy is the focus of the Relco Opening Keynote, where dairy leaders and disrupters will offer a long-range look at the future of the industry. Panelists include Secretary Tom Vilsack, President & CEO of U.S. Dairy Export Council and Ryan Pandya, CEO of Perfect Day.
On Thursday, April 16, WCMA is hosting the seminar: Water Reuse, Recycling and Conservation in Dairy Plants. Water conservation and reuse is great for the environment, conserving costs, and reducing outflow to wastewater treatment systems. Experts will offer advice as dairy processors large and small adopt water conservation goals. A few of the topics and speakers include:

- Managing Water Streams to Reduce Wastewater Treatment Volumes presented by Jeff VanVoorhis, VP Symbiont
The Innovation Center for U.S. Dairy is hosting another interesting session focusing on pathogen control in dairy plants. In this session, they will share the latest guidance on pathogen controls for cheese and whey manufacturing plants including a deeper dive into food safety practices for brine systems.
An important component of preventing bacteria and other pathogens from infiltrating your product and putting your customers’ health at risk is using the correct pasteurization and processing methods and equipment. Stainless steel shell and tube heat exchangers with polished surfaces are more resistant to fouling and contaminants.
