Helical Coil Thermal Fluid Heaters
Enerquip’s helical coil thermal fluid heaters use a helically wound coil design commonly found in industrial fired heaters. They are a compact, cost-effective option for applications with lower heat loads or space constraints.

Helical coil systems typically operate at 70–75% thermal efficiency, making them a practical choice for many industrial applications.
For applications requiring higher efficiency, Enerquip also offers serpentine coil thermal fluid heaters with an integrated economizer, capable of 85–90% efficiency.
Standard Helical Coil Design
Enerquip helical coil hot oil heaters are engineered for reliability, ease of operation, and straightforward installation. Standard features include:
- Radiant heating coil: Helically wound
- Sizes: Standard and custom sizes ranging from 1.3 MM BTU/Hr. to 13 MM BTU/Hr.
- Burner: High-efficiency gas-fired burner with burner management system (BMS)
- Expansion tank: 1,000-gallon tank
- Recirculation pump
- Control panel: NEMA 4 with integrated safety features and alarms
- Fuel train: Pre-piped and pre-wired for natural gas and/or alternate fuels
- Configuration: Horizontal or vertical
- Heating medium: Thermal oil, water, or blended fuels
Optional add-ons or upgrades:
- Tank stand: Available upon request in various custom sizes
- Control panel: NEMA 4X, app connectivity for remote diagnostics
- Expansion tank: 250 to 3,000 gallons with optional nitrogen blanketing
