Industrial Heaters

Enerquip’s industrial heaters convert energy from a fuel source into heat for your system or process stream. Our offerings include industrial thermal fluid heaters, low NOx heaters, asphalt heaters, waste heat economizers, and more. These heaters provide the essential heat needed for our various tank heating solutions, which you can explore further below.

Steam Generators

Steam generators are heat exchangers that generate steam using hot thermal oil to heat feedwater. Terminal plants, asphalt production facilities, and other applications requiring steam generation often rely on this equipment. Steam generators are ideal for facilities that need steam but do not want to invest in expensive boiler equipment and operators. They also do not have an emission source (burner), which reduces your carbon footprint.

Suction Heaters

Suction heaters are heat exchangers that heat different types of high-viscosity liquids, such as fuel oil and asphalt. This heating reduces the liquid’s viscosity to make it easier to pump and eliminates the need to maintain a whole tank of these substances at pumping temperatures. This provides on-demand heat during load in and load out.

Through the use of suction heaters, facilities can simply heat the pumped liquid as needed. As such, suction heaters offer a more cost-effective tank heating solution for a range of applications.

Bayonet Heaters

Also called immersion heaters, bayonet heaters facilitate efficient tank heating for many types of fluids. What differentiates these systems from other tank heating solutions is the use of an entirely submerged tube bundle acting as a heating coil that makes direct contact with the heated fluid. This design allows for considerably more efficient heating.

At Enerquip, we design easy-to-install and space-efficient bayonet heaters. These systems fit through a tank flange for complete immersion in the heated liquid, which saves space and energy. Additionally, our bayonet heaters only need a utility hookup, saving on installation costs.

Tank Coils

Tank coils are ideal for heating or cooling liquids being stored in aboveground tanks. Thermal fluid and steam heating systems rely on tank coils to maintain a consistent temperature for all types of liquids across a range of applications, such as:

  • Asphalt
  • Refining
  • Chemical
  • Biofuel blending
  • Food & Beverage

Shell and Tube Heat Exchangers

Tank heating applications often rely on shell and tube heat exchangers, which consist of several mounted tubes within a cylindrical shell. These systems exchange heat between two different gases or liquids, with one flowing through the tubes while the other flows outside the tubes within the shell.

They offer versatility, allowing for multiple starting temperatures within or outside of the tubes. Their design facilitates counter-flow, cross-flow, and parallel operation.

Enerquip’s shell and tube heat exchangers can function as tank heaters in many applications, including but not limited to:

  • Fuel gas heaters
  • Vapor condensers
  • Kettle reboilers
  • Falling film evaporators
  • Feedwater heaters
  • Oil coolers
  • Thermosyphon reboilers
  • Suction heaters
  • General service condensers
  • Compressor aftercoolers and intercoolers
