Enerquip Gives Time & Talent to Rib Lake
As a service to the community, Enerquip recently donated welding time to Rib Lake Fish and Game Association. The organization provided Enerquip with the materials to fabricate a new aeration system for the east shore of Rib Lake. Then Enerquip’s talented Welders Travis Frost (right) and Lonnie Marcott (left) used their talents to build the stainless-steel structure. Lake aeration adds oxygen to the water, which reduces algae growth and discourages water-breeding insects such as mosquitoes. It also reduces odor problems often associated with stagnant water. Rib Lake Fish and Game Association is a non-profit organization founded in 1945. Their mission is to stock and protect Taylor County lakes so fishing and water activities are available to future generations. Schreiner Promoted to Enerquip Sales Engineer
Enerquip is excited to announce the promotion of Lisa Schreiner to Sales Engineer & Spare Parts Manager. In this role, Schreiner will size, estimate, and quote sanitary and industrial heating and cooling equipment, including custom and off-the-shelf shell and tube heat exchangers, tube bundles, and other spare parts. She joins the experienced sales team of Ron Herman, Troy Weik, Sue Rhyner, Jim Peterson, Shane Viergutz, Will McCarron, and Brady Loertscher. In addition to performing thermal calculations and product design for heat exchangers, vapor condensers, industrial heaters, and tank heating solutions, Enerquip’s Sales Engineers provide ongoing project management to optimize customer process applications. Schreiner joined the Enerquip team in November of 2019 as an Administrative Specialist. Her role quickly grew to include order acknowledgment and entry, specifying and quoting stock units and spare parts, accounts receivable and payable processing, and more, helping to build the framework for this new venture in sales. “The team is eager to see Lisa step into this new role,” says Troy Weik, Sales & Channel Manager. “Many customers have experienced her positive demeanor, attention to detail, and dedication to quality over the past three years as our spare parts coordinator. We’re thankful to use her positive attributes in an even bigger way.” Schreiner earned her bachelor’s degree in business with a minor in accounting from UW-Green Bay. Her work experience includes a variety of accounting and sales-related roles in the banking and manufacturing industries. Enerquip Installs State-of-the-Art Turning Center
Enerquip plans for the future as a new state-of-the-art machining center is added to its production shop in Medford, WI. The high-rigidity, high-precision DMG MORI NLX 2500/700 turning center machines tube sheets and channels up to 18 inches in diameter. The addition of this technology is a big step in optimizing the efficiency of Enerquip’s most common-sized units, along with the ability to make bigger and more complex units in the future. “In manufacturing, if you’re not looking to the future, you’ll go extinct,” says Tim Strebig, Enerquip Operations & Facilities Manager. “Robotics and advanced technology can only make us more efficient for the benefit of our customers and internal workflow. This new lathe is part of that ever-changing reach for optimal efficiency.” The DMG MORI turning center is equipped with a 12-station tooling turret, chip conveyor, and an Ethernet connection for troubleshooting and machine updates. On a 21.5” high-definition touch screen, the CELOS + MAPPS V operation panel is state-of-the-art, offering features such as production control, smart key, job manager, job assistant, and more. “The control panel technology is exciting,” says Tyler Komarek, Enerquip Machinist. “Not only is the user experience app-based and more intuitive, but the technology behind it far exceeds that of the past. We can now turn a piece of equipment under a quarter of an inch in diameter.” Built with the most advanced safety features, the machine is completely enclosed to ensure the containment of chips and cutting coolant. It also includes an oil chiller to cool the spindle and casting, adding to the machine’s life, accuracy, and precision. As a significant added benefit to Enerquip’s carbon-neutral facility, the device can be put in GREENmode to help reduce energy consumption and continue Enerquip’s commitment to sustainable manufacturing practices. Enerquip’s Employee Match Supports First Baptist Church
Enerquip has proudly donated $500 to First Baptist Church (FBC) of Medford. The donation will be used specifically for the church’s women’s events team which creates opportunities for women of faith to fellowship together. So far in 2022, FBCs women’s events team has hosted a movie night at Broadway Theater in Medford, a spring crafting and devotional event, and a high-energy afternoon of axe throwing. Enerquip has proudly donated $500 to the P-Town Cancer Battle benefit. In its second year, the P-Town Cancer Battle raises funds that support those locally undergoing cancer treatment. This year’s event, held on Saturday, August 20, included a mini-triathlon, fish boil, and smokin’ BBQ cook-off. Raising nearly $16,000, the funds will be used to purchase gas cards, gift cards, and cover other expenses for the benefit of local patients. Enerquip Promotes Diedrich to Design Engineering Manager
Enerquip is excited to announce the promotion of Cameron Diedrich to Design Engineering Manager. In this role, Diedrich will oversee Enerquip’s talented Design team, push the limits of innovation, create direction for the department’s future, and be a valuable technical resource for customers. Diedrich’s management responsibilities were previously split between Operations & Facilities Manager Tim Strebig and Process Manager Tom Steen. “Enerquip is seeing rapid growth,” says Steen. “Cam’s promotion gives us a talented designer to lead the team while also allowing the Enerquip team to continue its focus on what’s next in the industry.” “With the purchase of American Heating Company last year, our products, designs, and fabrication have greatly expanded,” says Strebig. “Cam’s skills and passion for innovation will help drive our designs forward.” Diedrich earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from UW-Platteville and is currently working toward his Professional Engineering (PE) license. Before coming to Enerquip in 2018, he worked as a designer and project manager for a local contracting firm. “I enjoy seeing projects come to life,” says Diedrich. “From the digital design to steel fabrication, I just love the process.” Natives of Athens, WI, Diedrich and his wife volunteer as first responders in the Athens community. They have one child and two more on the way, along with a house full of animals. Outside of work, Diedrich enjoys coaching football, hunting, fishing, camping, and just about anything else outdoors.
