Pharmaceutical-Grade Shell & Tube Heat Exchangers
Our pharmaceutical heat exchangers are engineered with a variety of upgrades as our standard. These include seamless 316L stainless steel tubes, a tube side surface finish of 25Ra or better, and engineered with a pitch to promote draining and cleanability.
Our exchangers also have several upgrades that most of our pharma customers have made standard. These include a double tube sheet, insulation jacket, electropolished surface finish, welded foot supports, and more.
Product Heaters & Coolers
Consistent and accurate product temperatures must be maintained throughout the product blending operation. Enerquip shell and tube exchangers offer efficient heat transfer with both large and small batch products, providing consistency in pharmaceutical product heating and cooling.
To meet the necessary sanitation requirements, pharmaceutical companies will often employ Clean-in-Place (CIP) systems in their plant. A CIP system is designed to remove product residues and microorganisms from inside tanks, pipes, vessels, and process equipment without requiring disassembly.

In the pharmaceutical industry, Water for Injection (WFI) is a sterile, non-pyrogenic distilled water used for the preparation of products typically to be used intravenously or by injection and for the cleaning of those product-contact components.
