Enerquip Promotes Leonhardt to Design Engineer

Walker Leonhardt, Design Engineer, Enerquip Thermal Solutions

Enerquip is thrilled to announce Walker Leonhardt is the newest member of its dynamic Design Engineering team. This promotional transition underscores Enerquip’s commitment to recognizing and nurturing talent from within the organization.

Leonhardt joined Enerquip as a skilled Welder in 2018, demonstrating exceptional dedication, craftsmanship, and innovation in welding techniques. In this new role as Design Engineer, Leonhardt will bring his unique insights and practical experience from the welding floor into the realm of design and engineering.

Cameron Diedrich, Design Engineering Manager, says, “Walker’s welding proficiency and imaginative flair have been evident in the shop, and we are excited to witness his talents seamlessly transition into the world of CAD design. This promotion is a natural progression for him, and we are confident that he will excel in this new capacity.”

Enerquip’s team of Design Engineers craft detailed fabrication drawings for a wide range of cutting-edge equipment, including heat exchangers, condensers, and bayonet heaters. They excel at intricate thermal calculations and skillfully interpret blueprints and specifications to design efficient thermal solutions that enhance our clients’ manufacturing processes.

A native of Medford, WI, Leonhardt is enthusiastic about further developing his talents within the dynamic environment of Enerquip. “The chance to immerse myself in the creation of custom process equipment is truly a gift,” says Walker Leonhardt, Enerquip Design Engineer. “Witnessing a concept evolve into a final design and eventually into a tangible product that reaches the customer is an incredible journey, and I’m thankful to be a part of it. My past experience as a welder brings an additional layer of understanding and critical thinking – something I’m eager to bring to the design team.”

Leonhardt holds a welding certificate from Northcentral Technical College in Wausau, WI, where he also completed courses in CAD design. Beyond his professional achievements, Leonhardt finds joy in building projects and learning new trades. His love for the outdoors fuels his passion for activities such as dirt biking, downhill skiing, and hockey, though his true passions are spending time with family and watching his young son grow and learn about the world around him.
